How to Create Letterpress Text Effect for Logo Design in Adobe Illustrator

Let's see how to create a quick Letterpress type effect for Logo Design in Adobe Illustrator.

Step 1: Create a new document in A4 size.

Step 2: Create the rectangle with fill color # CCC2BC by click rectangle Tool (M) from Tools.

 Step 3: Type the content that you wish to create.

Step 4: Open Appearance panel by clicking Window -> Appearance (Shift + F6)

Click Add Fill option to edit the fill color. Change the fill color to #876651

Click fx to apply the effects on the text.

fx -> Stylize -> Inner Glow

Inner Glow: Mode     : Normal
                  Color     : #D8C6C0
                  Opacity  : 60%
                  Blur       : 1 mm

Create a new fill and change the color to #7D5D46. Move that fill under the previous one.

Apply Transform effect by clicking fx -> Distort & Transform -> Transform

Transform: Move -> Vertical -> -0.5 mm

Click OK.

Create a new fill and change the color to #000000.

Apply Transform effect by clicking fx -> Distort & Transform -> Transform

Transform: Move -> Vertical -> 0.5 mm

Click OK.

Click fx to apply the effects on the text.

fx -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur

Gaussian Blur: Radius: 2 pixels
